Contributors

Contributions to the Denison Men's Lacrosse program come in many forms, from products and services to cash donations to coordinating activities.  These contributions are sometimes made directly to the varsity program and some are made through the DLA.  Regardless of how and when alumni and friends of the program have supported the team, the DLA and the university very much appreciates those efforts.  Below is a description of the contributions of which we're aware for the 2010 season.

ANNUAL FUND-RAISER

The DLA has conducted fund-raisers for the varsity program and its own activities since 2005.  For the 2010 season, DLA members contributed nearly $4600 to help:
  • purchase a new laptop for video editing
  • assume part or all of the costs for recruiting trips to California, Colorado and Texas
  • supplement the salary of Denison's part time assistant coach Brady Williams
  • fund an Open Division team in the Summit Lacrosse Tournament at Lake Placid
  • conduct member hospitality events at key Denison and other lacrosse games in the spring
  • maintain the DLA web site
We're very grateful to the 29 DLA members who participated in this year's campaign.  The DLA has now raised in excess of $50,000 for the program since its launch in 2004.  Below is a list of those who made donations in this year's campaign.

FAN GEAR SALE

The DLA has conducted a fan gear sale annually to help generate additional excitement and pride in the program as well as generate funding to support the varsity's spring trip.  This year, as is the case every year, we had participation from across the decades of the Denison family.  Classes from 1957 through 2013 were represented!  We thank everyone for their support of the Big Red!

Allen Petersen '77, who owns AdEmbroidery and Graphic Promotions, is the official vendor of embroidered and promotional items of the DLA.  This fall, Allen not only embroidered our casual and outer wear but also graciously agreed to handle the screen printed items from another of our vendors, then assemble and ship each individual order.

Here's a list of those who purchased items in the fall gear to help raise funds to supplement the budget for the varsity's spring trip.
