2008 ALUMNI GAME

The 2008 Alumni Game continued its recent success as 11 alumni joined alongside a number of underclassmen to compete against the varsity on Saturday evening, Oct. 18. Playing for the alumni were Kurt Federer '05, Craig Pastor '05, Steve Wiseman '06, JC Quaglia '06, Chris Gaines '08, Chris Chandler '07, Dave Harman '08, Teddy Epstein '08, Ricky Mackessy '08, Mark Foster '06, and even Bill Mason '57. LAKE PLACID TOURNAMENT 2007

2007 marked Denison Alumni's 9th consecutive year of participating in the Summit Lacrosse Tournament at Lake Placid. Since 1999, our Grand Masters team (45+) has typically finished in the Top 4 among 16 teams. This year, we expanded our presence with a Super Grand Masters team (51+). ALUMNI GAME 2006

When he took over the head coaching reins of Denison's team in 2005, Matt McGinnis wanted to re-connect the team with the program's rich history and traditions. One of his first efforts was to re-instate the Alumni Game which had been dormant since the 1990's. A dozen alums came to Granville on a bright, cool September day (some called it a typical "Denison Day") to relive their playing days. Joined by select players from the varsity, players representing Denison's first years (1957) through its most recent (2006) competed against the varsity in a spirited game that was won by the alumni, 10-8. Bob Martin '68 was the hands down Alumni MVP of the game as he stopped a number of point blank shots.
